I had the most amazing Ostrich steak. Ahhhhhhh! So Good. Plus, you may be interested to know that they do not put their head in the ground! Only in cartoons...I know....SHOCKING!

Sopa Lodge, Masi Mara Kenya

Our accommodations were excellent! We slept in mosquito netting and drank by the pool. The lodge is located 206 km south of the Equator on the eastern boundary of the Masai Mara Game Reserve in southwestern Kenya. It is the best-known game area in East Africa, bordering the Serengeti National Park.

Good Driving

Douglas is an excellent driver. The drive to Masi Mara is long and beautiful and dusty. Flat tyres are common and many vehicles break down.

Douglas, our driver, picks us up in Nairobi, we drove six hours slightly north and mostly west on a long and winding "road".

I find a nice mailbox for my YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL sticker and place it right by the keyhole. This way, anyone who opens the box will feel like I am talking right to them. Jessica is kind enough to point it out to us, below.


We walk a few meters down and I turn around to shoot the box from far away to " give it some context". At that moment the owner of that same box is putting his key in the lock and pausing...
