A Good Problem to Have

That photo in the bottom right is a total sleeper hit, actually, both of those bottom two. I had another shoot for this project today - maybe if I get twelve girls I can have calendar.

Happy (BELATED) 4th of July!

Cheers to my amazing model, Thea.

Pitchfork 2008

So...these are a few shots of my more bizarre moments at Pitchfork this year. For starters - I was walking to the potties and a this guy fell out of a tree and almost right onto my head! I quick took a picture and got out of there. I could tell by the way he hit the ground that he was out before he hit the ground, never a good sign. Also, the impact didn't even rouse him in the least. So I keep moving and find the bathrooms, but on my way back to my friends I see that he is STILL just laying there and now a very calm crowd was forming...
I got back to my friends and sat down and then this girl walks up and just plants herself in front of me! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Cain and Able

2700 block of North Fairfield.

At 4 am on Wednesday a 16 year old boy was shot in the head and killed by his 19 year old brother in the apartment they share with their family in a "domestic dispute". The 19 year old bother is a felon, the 16 year old had not been listed in CPS for over a year.

The Hideout - Soul Night

So fun.

Kamikaze

It is a persistent superstition in many cultures that moths should not be killed and represent a dead relative visiting or some variation on this theme. Last night at dinner a moth came and landed on the table between my friend and I. I told her the superstition and everyone at the table stopped and looked at the moth. To our suprise, it promptly flew to the edge of the candel on our table and dove into the hot wax.

Not a Model

Just looks like one. This is an early post card for my Lake.Sky.Vans. project. I took this photo from my bedroom window on Augusta and Rockwell in 2000 sometime. When I had a show for this work a guy who came to the show was very drawn to the image. I gave him a few postcards and he was transfixed...the following day I got an email from him,
"I wasn't sure why the image spoke to me so much until I got home and looked out my bedroom window. same view. Five years later!"
Crazy.

My sister gets to fulfill her destiny as a hand model. She models my new 1977 Oldsmoblie Cutlass Supreme. I have painted it to look like my old girl.Cutlass 4-eva!

Dear Friends and Family

Introducing the 2008 Men’s Gymnastics U.S. Olympic Team: Joey, Jonathan, Justin, Kevin, Morgan, and Paul
These six young men will proudly represent the United States in the 2008 Olympic Games this summer in Beijing, China - and THEY NEED OUR HELP!
There is nothing more important to our Olympians than sharing this moment with the friends and family who have generously sacrificed their time, energy, and resources along the way. With your support (and the help USA Gymnastics!), we are proud to announce the creation of the MEN’S GYMNASTICS FRIENDS AND FAMILY FUND.
Now gymnastics supporters, club programs, fellow alumni, and fans have a way to tell Joey, Jonathan, Justin, Kevin, Morgan, and Paul just how much they are appreciated. Contributions to the MEN’S GYMNASTICS FRIENDS AND FAMILY FUND will help offset the exorbitant costs associated with attending the Olympics in Beijing for up to 4 members of the athlete’s personal friend and family network.

Here’s how it works:
The “Men’s Gymnastics Friends and Family Fund” allows the six (6) competing members of the 2008 Men’s Gymnastics Olympic Team to designate 1-4 beneficiaries to receive financial assistance for costs directly associated with their attendance to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Each Athlete is responsible for pre-selecting their Beneficiaries by July 10, 2008. The total funds raised will be allocated into six (6) equal parts that will be made available for distribution and reimbursement to the beneficiaries.

Contributions are not tax deductible, but you may pay with a credit card over the phone. Please make your contribution to:

Please help out if you can!
